Woman dies after being T-boned in North Lauderdale crash

2 other women treated for injuries

NORTH LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A woman was killed in a crash at Rock Island and Bailey roads just before 10 p.m. Saturday.

Deputies said Amber Coddington, 27, was driving a Toyota Corolla north on Rock Island Road with Sarah Drane, 25, as passenger when Coddington attempted to made a left turn and was T-boned by a Mazda.

Coddington and Drane were taken to Broward Health Medical Center, where Drane was pronounced dead at 10:40 p.m. Coddington was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A woman in the Mazda was taken to University Hospital and was later discharged.

Broward Sheriff's Office traffic homicide detectives continue investigating the cause of the crash.
