MIRAMAR, Fla. – A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection to the killing of his ex-girlfriend in Miramar, police said.
A witness called 911 about noon to report the incident at a home in the 8500 block of Sheraton Drive.
"The only information we have at present time is the information we received from the witness," Miramar police spokeswoman Tania Rues said. "The witness stated that the argument was occurring outside and then went back into the home."
Police said the woman, who has been identified as Suzette Brown, 41, was critically injured when officers arrived at the home. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate Brown, but she was later pronounced dead at the scene.
"The street usually is very quiet, and then yesterday, we had the SWAT team out here for a different house, and now this," a neighbor said. "I'm like ready to move now already."
Police said Pierre Limousin, 44, has been arrested in connection with the killing.
No other details were immediately released.
