Woman victim of road rage records crash

Jeffrey White arrested after crash

MIAMI – A woman who said she was the victim of road rage witnessed what she called "instant karma" when the driver of the pickup truck that was tailgating her lost control and crashed.

The incident happened Monday when the woman behind the wheel, identified by Tampa TV stations as Tracy Sloan, pulled out her cellphone and began recording video of the the pickup truck tailgating closely behind her on U.S. Highway 41.

Sloan said the pavement was slick. She was just driving carefully.

The driver of the pickup truck, identified by Florida Highway Patrol as Jeffrey White, 33, appeared to stay on her tail.

Video then shows him pulling up alongside Sloan, smiling and flipping her his middle finger.

As he sped away and appeared to cut her off, he lost control of the truck and veered into lanes of oncoming traffic. The truck crashed into a light pole.

In the video, a woman's voice can be heard laughing, "That's what you get! All on video, buddy!"

Troopers said Sloan stayed on scene and waited for help to arrive, but White took off on foot.

On Wednesday, Florida Highway Patrol arrested him for leaving the scene of a traffic crash, careless driving, and failure to wear a seatbelt.

The video, posted on YouTube and entitled "Redneck Karma," has already racked up almost 1.2 million views.
