Vic's Picks: Breakdown of Dolphins-Jets

Standouts from Sunday's Dolphins win

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Picks: Receiver Edition

Ryan Tannehill deserves a ton of credit for his play today, but the picks belong his to his receivers -- with some help from the inept jets secondary.

Charles Clay:

The Dolphins offense didn't look pretty early on, but Charles Clay and Ryan Tannehill were clicking early. Clay did most of his damage in the first half and finished with seven receptions for 80 yards. He might have added a touchdown if not for one of the uglier goal line dives in Dolphins history.

Brian Hartline:

Nine receptions, 127 yards and a touchdown. How often have we seen stat line like this from a Dolphins receiver this season? Brian Hartline is not making $60 million, but he played like it today.

Mike Wallace:

Finally, Mike Wallace and Ryan Tannehill looked like they were on the same page. It took 12 games and a miserable Jets secondary, but it looks like they have a rhythm. Seven receptions, 82 yards and a touchdown.

All around, good work. One more note -- the Dolphins running game looked competent and that absolutely helped open up the wide outs too.
