MIAMI – Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside made use of his popularity on Snapchat to send out a series of snaps Saturday night in a not so subtle effort to help the recruiting process with free agent Gordon Hayward, who reportedly visited with the Heat earlier in the day.
The snaps featured Whiteside and his friends going to the beach. And in one of the snaps Whiteside makes a reference to Hayward's wife and two young children by saying, "I don't know about y'all, but if I'm a free agent 'aint nothing like bringing your kids to the beach after practice."

Hayward's wife, Robyn, has posted on her social media accounts about how much she dislikes the cold and how much her kids love going to the beach.
Many of the snaps at the beach feature a caption that appears underneath Whiteside reading, "this could be you!"
Hayward reportedly spent a few hours at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami on Saturday with members of the Heat, including Whiteside.
Hayward is expected to meet with the Boston Celtics and Utah Jazz before signing a free agent contract.
