Miami announces moves Sunday night

MIAMI ā€“ The Miami Heat capped a very busy day of free agency moves on Sunday by announcing that they are bringing back Udonis Haslem and Tyler Johnson.

"He has been the pillar and constant of this organization, and is a true champion in every sense of the word," team president Pat Riley said. "We are thrilled that Udonis is back to help impart his leadership and instill the Heat culture with his new teammates."

On matching the $50 million offer the Nets had made to Johnson, Riley said, "We are extremely happy to re-sign Tyler. He, Hassan (Whiteside), Justise (Winslow) and Josh (Richardson) have grown together as an exciting, athletic, highly skilled young core over the last couple of years. They are going to have a tremendous opportunity this season and we are looking forward to watching them play together on the floor."

Heat star DwyaneĀ Wade announced last week that he will sign with his hometown Chicago Bulls after 13 seasons in Miami.
