DAVIE, Fla. – The Miami Dolphins cleaned out their lockers on Monday, but this year, it was a week later than usual.
For the first time since 2008, the Dolphins made it to the playoffs.

Miami lost Sunday to Pittsburgh 30-12.
Safety Michael Thomas said, " Obviously, this was success compared to our teams in most recent years. Guys overcame so much adversity working hard especially in terms of injuries and guys stepping up and having the next man mentality. But it still sucks, still hurts from yesterday. That wasn't our goal to just make it to the playoffs and get out in the first round."
Wide receiver Jarvis Landry said, "I feel like it's coming. We're not all the way there but we've started something. Gase and his staff that he's brought in will allow us to do something special in the future."
The Dolphins battled injuries all season long, including losing starting center Mike Pouncey.
Pouncey said Monday, "Injuries happen, they're a part of this game. I feel great right now. I know I'm healthy and I'll be healthy in a minute or so. It was tough the way the season played out. I didn't expect it to go that way, no one ever does."
