Dolphins coach Adam Gase not concerned with Ryan Tannehill

Miami rookie corner Xavien Howard hurt

DAVIE, Fla. – New Dolphins head coach Adam Gase told the media Tuesday he's got "no concerns" about Ryan Tannehill grasping his offensive system.

Gase made the comments during a news conference just days before his first training camp as a coach in the NFL.

The rookie coach also said he wasn't feeling emotional at all as he enters his first season because he is too busy actually working on the nuts and bolts of inserting his system.

Gase also expressed his excitement about using the skills of recently signed running back Arian Foster as a pass catcher out of the backfield.

"I admire his running ability," Gase said. "He runs like a wide receiver."

Gase started the news conference with some bad news involving rookie cornerback Xavien Howard, who will start training camp on the physically-unable-to-perform list following arthroscopic knee surgery.

However, Howard is expected to be healthy for the first regular-season game.
