Former Dolphins executive Wiedmeier dies

Wiedmeier battled brain cancer

MIAMI – Former Dolphins executive Bryan Wiedmeier died on Tuesday.

He was 56.

Wiedmeier had a long battle with brain cancer.

Wiedmeier was with the Dolphins organization for 29 years, before leaving for the Cleveland Browns in 2010.

Owner Stephen Ross released a statement that read, "On behalf of the entire organization that Bryan served so well for so long, I want to pass along my condolences to his wife, Mary, and the rest of the Wiedmeier family.  Bryan will always be remembered as a member of the Miami Dolphins."

Dolphins Senior VP Nat Moore said, "Bryan was the ultimate Dolphin.  He worked his way up from intern to the President of the team and had the utmost respect of everyone in the organization."
