The Florida Panthers host Stanley Cup beach party

Beach event part of NHL 100 celebration tour

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Just call it a Stanley Cup beach party. That's exactly what the Florida Panthers hosted Friday on Fort Lauderdale Beach.

Panthers and NHL fans came to the corner of Las Olas Boulevard and A1A to pose for pictures with the famed Stanley Cup.

The event, part of the NHL celebrating its centennial, was free to the public.

The team's mascot, Stanley C. Panther, was on hand to pose for pictures with fans next to the Stanley Cup itself.
