Mannix writes, "While many execs still see Wade/Heat as contract saber rattling, a Wade option will be the Lakers."

Mannix added, "Hard to see L.A. offering Wade a better chance to win than Miami, especially in the West.  But it is L.A., and they do have money to burn."

The Lakers have the 2nd pick in the NBA draft.

Kobe Bryant is under contract for one more season.

Wade can opt out of his Heat contract on July 1st.

Wade has given a series of clues about possible dissatisfaction with what Miami has to offer.

The latest happened on Sunday when Wade's father showed up to a South Florida church wearing a Cleveland Cavaliers shirt.

Wade has played his entire career with the Heat.
