RECIFE, Brazil – The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro is just months away, and the Olympic torch relay is moving through the streets of Brazil.
A South Florida hero got the privilege to tote the torch.
Miami Beach's own Romero Britto ran with the torch through his hometown of Recife June 1.
It was quite the thrill for the world-renowned artist, who is based on Lincoln Road, and maintains deep ties with his homeland.
