MIAMI – When, and if, Miami ever gets a MLS franchise, it may not be the best team at the start, but it could be the best looking.

A report in The Sun out of London claims that soccer megastar Cristiano Ronaldo is interested in playing in South Florida for David Beckham's proposed MLS team.

A source says that Ronaldo, who spent Christmas in South Florida, wants to live in Miami and it's the players favorite city, much more than Madrid where he currently plays. Ā Reports in Portugal say that Ronaldo desires to make a permanent move to Miami when his playing days are over.

Beckham, a former teammate of Ronaldo's with Manchester United, has said that he wants to make a big splash when it comes to his possible MLS franchise, and you can't get much bigger than the 3-time winner of the Ballon d'Or, soccer's World Player of the Year award.

A Miami MLS team could offer Ronaldo a two-year deal to rejoin his old pal in sunny South Florida.

Currently starring for Real Madrid in the Spain's La Liga, Ronaldo also tasted success as a member of Manchester United of the English Premier League.

Off the pitch, Ronaldo is a global fashion icon, often sought after by the biggest brands. Ā The 30-year-old is also a notable raconteur, having dated multiple models and appearing on the cover of Vogue magazine.

So even if you forget about the actual soccer, Ronaldo and Beckham, People Magazine's current Sexiest Man alive, could form a formidable futbol duo in the Magic City.
