Twitter connects LeBron & cancer-stricken teen for memorable night

MILWAUKEE – Saturday night LeBron James made a dream come true for Ebony Nettles-Bey, a girls basketball player at Verona High School in Verona Wisconsin. The 16-year- old has stage-four Rhabdomyosarcoma, a type of cancer in the soft tissues of the body.

Nettles-Bey's dream was to meet James and the hashtag #LeBronMeetEbony did the trick. #LeBronMeetEbony went viral in February, when friends, family and strangers rallied around the stand out athlete.

Nettles-Bey had no idea she was going to meet her idol at the game, but meeting James was only half the surprise. She also led the two time defending champs onto the court for warm ups and shot around with James.

"It's great to be around her and see her enthusiasm even with what she's dealing with. It's like she doesn't even have it. It's not going to stop her. That's a very unique trait." James said.

James signed a shoe for Nettles-Bey and wrote, "#CancerWho" and "Ebony Strong."

"Just can't stop thinking about it. I can't believe it's happening." said Nettles-Bey.
