This is Bessy!!! Bessy was found in the city of Hollywood with her son. Her son was just a baby, about 3 months old. Both Bessy and her son were brought to The Fort Lauderdale Animal Care & Adoption Center. Bessy's son was adopted almost immediately, leaving Bessy all alone. Bessy spent the first few days looking for her son. She would occasionally peek underneath her bed to look for him. We could also see her eyes scanning the other runs to see if her son was in one of them. It took Bessy almost a week to adjust. We found Bessy a doggie friend to help comfort her. We also explained to Bessy that her son found a great home and now it's her turn.
