"The university is very grateful for Steven's incredibly significant and meaningful donation," said Dr. Roni Leiderman, the dean of Nova Southeastern University's Mailman Segal Center for Human Development. "His scholarship fund will help make a positive difference in the lives of the university's children and their families."

"We seldom stop to think about how our day-to-day lives could be so challenged if we were in the shoes of so many that are affected by autism," said Gurowitz. "I hope and pray that my contribution can contribute to the growth of the educational programs and therapies that are available."
