Oscar predictions: What will win, what should win
Should Win: Aside from โDunkirk,โ which I saw three times in theaters, โLady Birdโ is the movie I want to watch over and over again. COYLE:Will Win: There are five movies with a legitimate shot to win, which makes this year more difficult than usual to call. Should Win: Iโd be thrilled if โDunkirk,โ โณGet Out,โ โณLady Birdโ or โPhantom Threadโ took home the top prize, but โCall Me By Your Nameโ stood apart for me. Her character in โLady Birdโ is one of the finest working mothers Iโve ever seen in movies. Should Have Been a Contender: When I saw Brett Morgenโs transcendent Jane Goodall documentary โJane,โ I assumed it would win the Oscar.
