1 killed, 1 injured in Oakland Park shooting

Survivor taken to Broward Health Medical Center

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. – One man was killed and another was injured Tuesday in a shooting in Oakland Park, Broward sheriff's deputies said.

The shooting was reported just before 3:45 p.m. at a home in the 3200 block of Northwest Sixth Avenue.

Broward Sheriff's Office deputies said the BSO SWAT team went into the home and found one man dead inside.

The other victim was taken to Broward Health Medical Center.

Westbound lanes of Oakland Park Boulevard were shut down from Andrews Avenue to Powerline Road while the victim was transferred into a helicopter before heading to the hospital. His condition has not been released.
