BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – Brightline is adding yet another railway stop for commuters to easily travel from South Florida to Central Florida.

The addition in Brevard County, in the City of Cocoa, was announced on Tuesday.

“Brightline is ready to begin the formal process with Space Coast stakeholders to fulfill our vision for a Brevard County station. The Space Coast TPO, Brevard County, the City of Cocoa and other community leaders have started to bring the region together to identify potential federal, state and local resources for a station to be located in Cocoa. We agree the time is now to finalize a plan,” said Katie Mitzner, Director Public Affairs, Brightline.

The addition will facilitate travel for cruise passengers to and from nearby Port Canaveral.

Last week, the railway company announced plans for a station in downtown Stuart in Martin County.

The station will be located between the Miami and Orlando stations. Its location is approximately 40 miles north of Brightline West Palm Beach, just 40 minutes by train, and the station is easily accessible from I-95, Florida’s Turnpike.

The high-speed rail company celebrated its inaugural launch for its Miami to Orlando route in Sept. 2023.

The route facilitates travel from Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach to Orlando.

In preparation for the route, Brightline put its high-speed trains through rigorous drills in Orange County last Spring.

The trains reached their maximum speed of 130 miles per hour; a fraction faster than they will go with passengers onboard.

Tickets for Smart service start at $79 and Premium seating pricing begins at $149. Children’s tickets are $39.
