BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. – Not one, but two local high school winter guards from South Florida, sparkled during the 2024 Color Guard World Championships.

Flanagan High, which is in Pembroke Pines, scored 83.4 points out of a possible 100 points and finished 13th in the Scholastic World Class Final on Saturday.

The sterling performance made the Falcons the second-highest scoring Winter Guard in Florida.

Flanagan’s show, which is called ‘Ethereal Echoes’, captivated the packed audience at the University of Dayton Arena in Dayton, Ohio.

The Flanagan Color Guard is directed by Nicholas Rodriguez.

Stoneman Douglas High finished one place behind Flanagan in 14th with 82.7 points.

Stoneman is directed by Winter Guard legend Dean Broadbent.
