Girl sentenced in Hollywood gang rape takes stand in co-defendant's trial

Patricia Montes says Jayvon Woolfork raped teen after she was beaten by group

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A teenager who accepted a plea deal in the gang rape of another girl in November 2013 took the stand Wednesday in the trial of a 20-year-old man who is accused of orchestrating the attack inside his Hollywood home.

Jayvon Woolfork previously rejected a plea deal from the state, offering him 15 years in prison.

Woolfork claims the state has no evidence against him and told a Broward County judge that he wanted a trial.

Two men and two 17-year-old girls accepted plea deals in the case and received sentences of two to four years in prison.

"She was being beaten and told that she had to have sex with him right?" prosecutor Maria Schneider asked Patricia Montes.

"Yes," Montes said.

Police said the group lured the victim to Woolfork's home, then beat and raped her while recording the incident.

"I was told when they came out the room that it was done," Montes said.

"OK, he told you that he had sex with her, right?" Schneider asked.

"Yes," Montes said.

"And it would not have been consensual sex," Schneider asked.

"No," Montes said.

"Because the whole time she was saying, 'No I don't want to,' correct?" Schneider asked.

"Yes," Montes said.

Woolfork claims there is no evidence against him, although the attack was recorded on a cellphone.

He faces up to life in prison if he is convicted.
