2 injured after Fort Lauderdale restaurant’s dock partially collapses

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Two people were injured on Friday after the dock outside of the Flip Flops Dockside Eatery partially collapsed in Fort Lauderdale.

Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue personnel responded to 3051 NE 32nd Ave. Four people fell into the waterway and boaters came to their rescue.

Fire Rescue personnel took the two injured to Holy Cross Hospital.

Fort Lauderdale building officials were investigating the structural integrity of the dock.
