HOMESTEAD, Fla. — Police in Homestead are investigating after a driver struck and killed a pedestrian and fled the scene Friday morning.
The crash happened at around 6:45 a.m. along Krome Avenue north of East Mowry Drive, directly across from Losner Park.
Homestead police Capt. Fernando Morales said officers were still investigating the hit-and-run crash as of around 10 a.m. Friday and had Krome Avenue closed from East Mowry Drive to Southwest 316th Street.
Police did not provide additional information.
