According MDSO officials, the victim reported that she exited her vehicle in a nearby parking lot are when Hernandez allegedly struck her in the back of the head with a large rock.

Authorities said he then covered her mouth, held a screwdriver to her neck, and dragged her to a secluded area.

Investigators said the victim begged Hernandez not to kill her while fearing for her life.
