Authorities release 911 calls from deadly personal watercraft crash in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — Officials have released the 911 calls that followed a fatal crash involving two young sisters riding on a personal watercraft.

It happened on Aug. 12 in intracoastal waters in Fort Lauderdale.

The crash claimed the life of 13-year-old Rochel Nisanov and hospitalized her 16-year-old sister, Aviva Nisanov.

From the 911 calls, you can hear people trying to help the teenagers.

“They are trying to pull the other one out of the water now,” one called stated.

“People are in the water pulling the girls out,” another caller said.

“They hit hard, they were going fast,” said a caller.

The accident remains under investigation.
