Woman, 2 children injured in northwest Miami-Dade after car slams into pole

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A mangled car could be seen resting against a wooden power pole following an early morning crash that sent three people to the hospital.

It happened around 3:20 a.m. along Northwest 54th Street near 23rd Avenue in Miami-Dade County’s Brownsville neighborhood.

Deputies responded to the scene after the driver of a white car slammed into a pole along the side of the road.

Paramedics said they rushed three people, a woman and two children, to the hospital.

All were said to be in critical condition, according to officials.

Investigators blocked off the street in both directions for several hours overnight as they tried to figure out what led up to the crash.
