HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – A worker was injured Friday morning when a front end loader fell from the fourth floor of a building that is under construction in Hallandale Beach, authorities confirmed. Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Michael Kane said the operator was inside the front end loader when the incident occurred. Building where front end loader fell from. According to Broward Sheriffs Office spokesman Don Prichard, deputies spotted a stolen vehicle in the area of Sunrise Boulevard and 31st Avenue in unincorporated Broward County. Prichard said deputies followed the car to Stirling Road and Southwest 25th Street in Dania Beach, where there was a bailout. Local 10 News reporter Jeff Weinsier was at the scene as a man was taken into custody. It appeared that he was hiding behind a Tire Kingdom in the area.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Fort Lauderdale Mayor Dean Trantalis said a Florida Power & Light subcontractor repairing electrical lines near Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport damaged a 42-inch water main Wednesday, which led to customers in Fort Lauderdale and neighboring municipalities being without water service Thursday. Local 10 News has since learned that the subcontractor responsible for hitting the pipe with an underground drill is Florida Communication Concepts, which is based in Wellington. However, Trantalis said the incident occurred on the property of Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. "We are aware of the situation in Fort Lauderdale where a third-party contractor struck a water main near the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport while working on a Florida Power & Light Co. construction project," FPL said in a statement. Trantalis said the subcontractor has been cited for Wednesday's incident.

The state refuses to shut them down permanently, even though the fines and temporary closures don't seem to be working. It is the fifth time since 2016 that the Asian buffet has been ordered shut by a state inspector. Asian Buffet and Grill had the most violations of any restaurant in Broward in 2018, so its definitely on the states radar. While the average restaurant is inspected twice a year, inspectors went to the Asian buffet 14 times in 2018 and seven times so far this year.

PEMRBOKE PARK, Fla. – When state inspector noticed it was raining inside a Steak 'n Shake in Coral Springs, they noticed rain water coming inside the restaurant. Along with finding 11 violations, the inspector ordered a stop sale on turkey. The inspector observed water leaking from the ceiling onto turkey in a cooler. The inspector noted water leaking from the ceiling throughout the kitchen. Local 10 News then called Steak 'n Shake's corporate office for comment, but the marketing director was out.
