MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Flames engulfed a white Jeep at a Citgo gas station on Friday in Miami-Dade County, near Allapattah. Nearby residents reported the thick black smoked and the flames shooting into the air. A man said the fire sparked just as he finished filling up his gas tank. Firefighters responded to the gas station at the corner of Northwest 28th Street and Northwest 27th Avenue. Officers with Miami-Dade Schools Police, Miami and Miami-Dade responded to the area to help keep drivers away from the area.

BROWNSVILLE, Fla. – Detectives witnessed a shooting and saw a man running before he collapsed and died on Tuesday in Miami-Dade County’s Brownsville neighborhood, police said. The detectives, who work for the department’s burglary unit, also saw a white sports utility vehicle and a U-Haul rental box truck speeding away, Zabaleta said. Officers found a box truck matching the detectives’ description and detained two people near the intersection of East Third Avenue and East Eighth Street, police said. Sky 10 was above the area of Northwest 27th Avenue and 164th Court shortly before 2:30 p.m. as the man was placed into handcuffs into a Miami Beach police cruiser following the pursuit involving a black Nissan Pathfinder. POMPANO BEACH, Fla. Police in Broward County are investigating what led a driver to slam their car into a palm tree. The car involved was surrounded by crime tape as it rested against the tree, half the wheels off the ground. It happened on Northwest 27th Avenue a few blocks south of Sample Road in Pompano Beach. Detectives were seen searching the area and roadways around the vehicle for clues. Authorities have not released any information about what led to the vehicle up against the tree, or what happened to the driver.

Camacho said the coupe then struck a male bicyclist who was standing in the center median of Northwest 27th Avenue. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. MIRAMAR, Fla. - Two suspects were taken into custody Monday morning in Miramar after an armed carjacking in Miami Gardens, police said. Miami Gardens police said the carjacking occurred while the victim was working as the overnight security guard at a fireworks tent on Northwest 27th Avenue and Northwest 163rd Street. Miami Gardens police Officer Carlos Austin said the juvenile suspects were taken into custody after crashing the stolen SUV off Red Road and Miramar Parkway and bailing out of the vehicle. MIAMI - Two people were injured Thursday afternoon when a car crashed into a bus stop in Miami, authorities confirmed. Miami police spokeswoman Kiara Delva said in an email that a silver Cadillac crashed into the bus stop where two people were sitting. Rafael Perez told Local 10 News reporter Roy Ramos the car first crashed into the back of his black pickup truck. According to investigators, another vehicle might have been involved in the collission and fled the scene. Delva said both victims injured in the crash were taken to a hospital and are listed in stable condition.
