July 17: Rain Chance to Lower; Heat Index to Top 100°F

Though a stray, passing shower can’t be ruled out for South Florida early Thursday evening, the rain chance trends lower for Miami-Dade and Broward counties as the night progresses.

Generally, partly cloudy skies and southeast winds (5 to 10 mph) can be expected with overnight low temperatures around 80°F.

Friday will feature sunshine, scattered clouds and hardly a drop of rain. A southeast breeze (10 to 15 mph, gusts to 20) rules the day. Temperatures will make a run for the low 90s. Heat indices are forecast to top 100°F.
