July 22: Get ready for an increase of atmospheric moisture

Get ready for an increase of atmospheric moisture. Not only will it feel like the triple digits due to the rise in humidity, but we will have enough moisture around to support showers and storms. Showers will begin to fire off after the lunch hour across some of our western communities. They will generally track westward over the Everglades. However, we will watch for one or two storms back build eastward by the evening. Some storms could produce heavy rainfall and gusty winds. An upper low near the Bahamas will slide westward near South Florida. In addition, a surface low near the Carolinas will slide across central North Florida. The two features will be the catalyst for an increase in our rain chances today and Wednesday. Nonetheless, it will remain toasty. We will peak at 92° today with feels like temperatures approaching the triple digits.
