August 13: Summer sizzle

Lingering showers over western areas of South Florida will fade as Wednesday night unfolds. Miami-Dade and Broward counties can expect a few non-threatening clouds to decorate the sky as temperatures drop to around 80°F overnight.

Thursday will bring more of the same: sunshine, scattered clouds and steamy conditions. Temperatures are forecast to reach the low and mid 90s with heat indices peaking at 100°F+. Afternoon showers and storms that develop will tend to favor inland and western areas of South Florida.
