Scattered storms and showers are returning to South Florida today. This is wonderful news between one to 6 p.m. Today is our best chance of seeing some heavy downpours which are much needed all across our area since we’re in an extreme drought for places like Fort Lauderdale and a severe drought all throughout South Florida spanning into the key specifically for all of our metro and and coastal areas. Today we have a West wind with our winds coming out of the west that means that our storm and rain chances will start in our inland zone west of Interstate 95 primarily and travel Eastwood towards our coastal areas throughout the late afternoon early evening hours so for Fort Lauderdale Miami expect to see the best chance of rain realistically between about 4 to 6 p.m. After 7 o’clock most of our rain chances completely taper off and we’re dry and cloudy into the overnight hours. we ran some repeat and do this all over again for tomorrow and rain chances begin to lesson tomorrow into the early week.
