First weekend of September: More soaking storms

The first weekend of September offers more showers and storms for South Florida and the Keys.

Clouds linger over Miami-Dade & Broward counties Friday night. A random shower or two is not completely out of the question.

Outdoor plans could get interrupted by rain, Saturday and Sunday.

Be prepared for storms in the area Saturday morning and afternoon.

Sunday may offer a drier start to the day with more sunshine—though a few morning showers can’t be ruled out. The balance of Sunday’s rain likely will come during the afternoon as daytime heating spurs thunderstorms to develop.

Regarding temperatures this weekend, expect highs to reach 90 degrees. Rain will cool the atmosphere at times.
