Aug 23: Scattered storms and showers return to South Florida

Unsettled weather will continue through the weekend. A stalled front over northern Florida, along with several weak areas of low pressure, will keep very humid air in place. Rain will gradually taper off across South Florida through the evening, but scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely again on Sunday.

The first part of the day will be the best window for outdoor activities, as rain coverage is expected to increase in the early afternoon during the peak of daytime heating. A few storms could be strong, and localized flooding is possible along the East Coast metro areas. Highs will be in the low 90s, with lows in the mid-70s inland and near 80 along the coast.
