CONDADO DE MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – Las Elecciones Primarias se llevarán a cabo el martes 20 de agosto.
Además de seleccionar un candidato de cada partido para dos carreras al Senado de los Estados Unidos, los votantes del Condado de Miami-Dade seleccionarán sus opciones para representantes de los Estados Unidos de numerosos distritos, así como su elección para el sheriff de Miami-Dade, una posición recién creada en el condado.
Los ganadores de cada partido político importante se enfrentarán en noviembre.
También se están llevando a cabo elecciones para alcalde en el Condado de Miami-Dade, así como en Miami Gardens.
Los candidatos en ambas carreras necesitan el 50 por ciento de los votos para ganar, de lo contrario, se llevará a cabo una segunda vuelta entre los dos principales candidatos en noviembre.
La actual alcaldesa del Condado de Miami-Dade, Daniella Levine Cava, y el actual alcalde de Miami Gardens, Rodney Harris, esperan mantener sus puestos.
