MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – From runway shows to pool-side pop ups, you can be in the action of Miami Swim Week and you’re able to get your hands on the latest merchandise before anyone else.
“We’re so excited. This summer is our 11th annual Miami Swim Week, Art Hearts Fashion partnership,” said Timur Tugberk, founder of Designing the District. “We are hosting our runway shows at the iconic Eden Roc hotel in Miami Beach. Our last day of runway shows are at the Miami Beach Botanical Gardens, which is also something that is new and exciting for us.”
From now until Sunday, Miami Swim Week is taking over the Magic City with immersive fashion shows, brand activations, beachside pop-ups, parties and more.
Many events give you early access to the hottest in swim style before it hits the shelves.
“First, first, first here at the Eden Roc for Miami Beach Swim Week with Art Hearts Fashion,” Tugberk said.
Local designers are stealing the spotlight, like Capelle Miami.
The brand blew up thanks to a viral TikTok, showing off their temperature reactive fabric.
“This idea comes actually from the little Hot Wheels cars that used to change colors from the early 90’s, so we brought that technology into actual fabric and this is our Switch collection,” Capelle Miami designer Antonio Rojas said.
“This is thermogenic fabric, so it will actually come back to the other color. All the kids love it. It’s so innovative,” he explained.
This year, he’s showcasing it all at a pop-up pool party.
“Definitely Miami. We love doing bold colors. We get a lot of inspiration from the 80’s,” Rojas said. “All of our swim comes with a compression liner to avoid that uncomfortable chaffing.”
Another vibrant local brand making waves is Berry Beachy and Papi Swim.
Mel and Rob Gonzalez are serving major couple goals with matching lines for him and her.
“Everything you see with Papi Swim matches with Berry Beachy swimwear,” Rob Gonzalez said.
“How do you stand out on vacation? And that’s where I create my bold and colorful prints from,” Mel Gonzalez explained.
“We sought an opportunity selling swimwear for all different shapes and sizes, and they’re very fun and colorful,” Rob Gonzalez said.
Miami Swim Week, powered by Art Hearts Fashion, is one of the only events open to the public.
