Pickup truck crashes against tree killing 1 in Tamarac

Police officers close area of Commercial Boulevard

LAUDERHILL, Fla. — One person died after a pickup truck crashed into a tree on Sunday in Tamarac.

The crash was near the intersection of Commercial Boulevard and Northwest 64 Avenue, according to Lauderhill Deputy Fire Chief Jeff Levy.

A pickup truck crashed into a tree on Sunday in Lauderhill.

Lauderhill firefighters and police officers responded and the cause of the crash was under investigation, according to Levy.

Police officers covered the driver’s side of the pickup truck with a yellow tarp. Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies were also at the scene.
