Runners from across the globe take part in Miami Marathon

MIAMI — Sunday was a big day for runners in South Florida.

Competitors from across the country, and the world, traveled to the Magic City to take part in the Lifetime Miami Marathon.

The event kicked off at 6 a.m. and ended at the finish line at Bayfront Park.

Tens of thousands of people took part in the race that is becoming one of the world’s fastest growing marathons.
