A Local 10 News crew was at the scene as a police officer placed a tarp over the body of a woman who died in the alleged shooting.
“I don’t know what to think. I’m kind of dumbfounded. Things like that normally don’t happen here,” said Labron Palmer, who lives nearby.
Police vehicles could be seen blocking off several streets as investigators worked the scene.
No arrests were immediately announced, and police have not released information about a possible motive or suspect at this time.
“We do believe that we have all of the parties involved at this point so we’re not looking for anyone,” a Fort Lauderdale police officer told Local 10’s Brett Knese.
