MIAMI – A commercial building’s overhang collapsed over Northwest Seventh Avenue on Wednesday in Miami.
Miami Fire Rescue personnel and police officers responded to the building at Northwest 31 Street in the Allapattah area.

No one was injured, but police officers closed Seventh Avenue, so crews could clean up the debris.
Lt. Pete Sanchez, a spokesman for MFR, said the building, which has structural damage, was set to be demolished.
Florida Power & Light employees temporarily cut power to the building, according to Sanchez.
MFR personnel temporarily evacuated a family of three from a neighboring building. Sanchez said it was a precaution.
