Oberto Fiezemer, 42, of Miami Gardens, is accused of shooting his daughter’s ex-boyfriend in the buttocks in April.
Miami police said the shooting happened just before 5 p.m. on April 4 outside of a house in the 7000 block of Northwest Fifth Place, just off of Interstate 95.
An arrest report states that Fiezemer pulled up in an electric scooter and opened fire, hitting the victim and also striking the house multiple times.
Police said several rounds went through a bedroom window while two people were inside.
“I knew it was him, I saw him coming,” the victim said, according to police.
Authorities said there had been an altercation between Fiezemer, his daughter and the victim on Christmas Eve.
The arrest report states that with 17 felonies on his record, including Dec. 9, 2021 convictions for failing to register as a career criminal and child neglect, Fiezemer is not supposed to have a gun.
Authorities said they located him Thursday at his home in the 50 block of Northwest 190th Street and took him into custody on one count each of attempted murder, felon in possession of a firearm and using a firearm in the commission of a felony, as well as two counts of shooting or throwing a deadly missile.
Fiezemer, who’s had multiple stints in state prison, was back in the familiar confines of a cell Friday, remaining in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center without bond.
