The crash happened just after 9 a.m. on the exit ramp from southbound Florida’s Turnpike to Southwest 312th Street, also known as Campbell Drive.

According to FHP Lt. Alex Camacho, a white Toyota sedan failed to negotiate a curve on the ramp, veered off the roadway, hit a tree and overturned.

Camacho said both occupants — a Black man and woman — died at the scene. Their ages or identities have not yet been released.

Instagram user @gee_v_gee sent video of the aftermath to Local 10 News, showing the mangled sedan resting off the roadway with two bodies covered by tarps lying nearby.

Authorities said Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews also responded to the crash and confirmed there were no survivors or hospital transports.

They said the initial 911 caller reported a traffic accident involving a vehicle that struck a tree.
