City workers lined up about 2,000 barricades along State Road A1A, which police officers will close at Vistamar Street.

“I got my room and I am ready to party,” Aubrey Hull, of Plantation, said on Friday.

Event organizers plan to start the parade at noon at Riomar Street, head southbound, and end it at Southeast Fifth Street.

The main stage for the free rally will be in the Fort Lauderdale Beach Park area. The ceremony starts at 1:30 p.m.

The Local 10 News Weather Authority forecasts a 40% chance of passing showers and temperatures in the 90s.

An umbrella can help with shade and cover. Organizers asked fans to plan to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen and light fabrics and hats.

The afterparty will be at the Elbo Room, at 241 South Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard.
