According to North Miami Beach police, the crash occurred around 5 a.m. in the area of Northeast 152nd Street and 16th Avenue.

Police said an occupant from one vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim was a female, but police did not immediately release her identity.

“It was a white (Toyota) Rav 4 and the car was like ... I don’t know what type of accident that was but the car was demolished,” said Lisa Jean, who lives nearby.

Female killed in 3-vehicle collision in North Miami Beach One person has died following a car crash Friday morning that involved three vehicles in North Miami Beach, police confirmed.

A Local 10 News crew was at the scene later in the morning.

One vehicle at the scene appeared to be nearly cut in half. A tarp was spotted nearby on the ground.

North Miami Beach resident Aurelia Ford told Local 10 that the power went out in the neighborhood after the crash.

She added that speeding is common on the roadway.

“And it’s terrible. It’s terrible,” Ford said. “I don’t know why they put these big old poles through here and they drive too fast – entirely too fast. They finally put a four-way stop sign right here, but it’s dangerous. People do not know how to obey four-way stop signs, and that’s the sad thing about it, and they drive too fast.”

According to police, only the drivers were inside the other two vehicles that were involved in the collision. Both men were checked out by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue at the scene and were not injured, police confirmed.

Police said Traffic Homicide investigators are investigating the cause of the crash.

It’s not yet clear which driver was at fault.
