MIRAMAR, Fla. — Residents of a Miramar apartment complex say they’re now concerned for their safety after a man was shot during a Rolex robbery over the weekend.
It happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday at the Solena Miramar complex at 3155 SW 147th Terrace, near Miramar Parkway and Interstate 75.
According to Miramar police, officers responded to reports of a man who had been shot and located the victim inside a home.
Authorities said the victim, a 33-year-old man, was confronted by another man who shot him and made off with his $30,000 Rolex watch.
Now residents are concerned. One resident, who asked not to be identified, said she was “already looking to see if there are other places where I could live.”
She described what she heard.
“I was just in my bathroom and I heard a shot, loud,” one resident said. “There was a man laying on the floor asking for help, saying he had been shot.
“Neighbors came out and then within a few minutes, police showed up, and then (an) ambulance.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477.
