FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A suspect has been taken into custody after a man and a woman were stabbed early Friday morning inside a home in Fort Lauderdale, police confirmed.
The double stabbing was reported around 2 a.m. in the area of Southwest 32nd Court and 15th Avenue.
According to Fort Lauderdale police, the male victim ran to a neighbor’s home for help.
When officers arrived, they went inside the victims’ home where they found the female victim suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was also located and detained.
According to police, the suspect is known to both victims and they believe the stabbing was domestic in nature.
There is no threat to the public, police confirmed.
No other details were immediately released.
