WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump announced that his upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will be on Aug. 15.
Trump said the plan is to meet in Alaska and focus on finding a resolution to the war in Ukraine.
Trump said he aims to broker a deal to end the Ukraine-Russia war, and “there will be some swapping of territories.”
Putin met with President Bill Clinton in 2000, President Barack Obama in 2015, Trump in 2018, and President Joe Biden in 2021.
