Edmonton Oilers arrive in Fort Lauderdale ahead of Stanley Cup Final matchup with Florida Panthers

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers are preparing for their second straight appearance in the Stanley Cup Final.

Game 1 is set for Saturday night at Amerant Bank Arena against the Edmonton Oilers.

On Thursday, the Panthers took a day off from practicing after skating each of the precious two mornings.

Edmonton also did not skate Thursday.

That’s because they were making the six-plus hour flight from Alberta to South Florida, arriving at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport at around 4 p.m.

Several fans were outside the airport hoping to score an autograph from Connor McDavid and his teammates.
