MIAMI – Kyle Stowers’ 2025 season began with a walk-off RBI single on Opening Day against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Less than four months later, Stowers’ play earned him a trip to the All-Star Game on July 15 at Truist Park in Atlanta – the first of his Major League career.

Marlins manager Clayton McCullough announced the exciting news in the clubhouse at loanDepot Park prior to the team’s 3-1 loss against the Milwaukee Brewers in the series finale.
“It’s pretty surreal, to be honest. I’ll be honest, there’s always been a part of me that believed I had this capability,” Stowers said.
Acquired nearly one year ago from the Baltimore Orioles along with infielder Connor Norby in exchange for left-handed pitcher Trevor Rogers, Stowers – struggling to find his swing throughout the second half of last season and into spring training this year – now leads the club in home runs (16) and runs batted in (46) through 88 games.
“The reaction from his teammates said a lot,” McCullough said. “Everyone was ecstatic for Kyle, and he’s earned that with his performance. But I think also he’s earned a lot of respect from his teammates for the way in which he carries himself and how he handles the good and the bad.”
According to the team, Stowers became the first Marlins outfielder to be named a National League All-Star since 2017, when both Marcell Ozuna and Giancarlo Stanton earned the honors.
Additionally, he is the eighth different outfielder to represent the organization at the All-Star Game, joining Ozuna, Stanton, Moises Alou, Miguel Cabrera, Jeff Conine, Cliff Floyd and Gary Sheffield.
