1 dead, 1 injured after 3-vehicle crash on Palmetto Expressway in Miami-Dade

FHP crash A man died after a three-vehicle crash on Thursday night in Miami-Dade County.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — A man who was driving a black Toyota died after a car crash on the Palmetto Expressway, also known as State Road 826, on Thursday night in Miami-Dade County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the three-vehicle crash was on the southbound lanes of the Palmetto’s exit ramp to Sunset Drive, also known as Southwest 72nd Street.

FHP troopers reported the Toyota crashed into a white Mazda sedan and a blue Ford sports utility vehicle, and collided with a median, two traffic signs, and a palm tree.

Fire rescue personnel pronounced the driver dead at the scene of the crash and took the injured driver of the Mazda to the Jackson South Medical Center.
